Detailed Description

Conductor Composition

The conductors in the EVO3 Sequel are arranged in parallel with a slight rotational twist, a configuration aimed at combating RFI and EMI. The silver-plated, highly pure copper enhances electrical conductivity and durability, which are critical for maintaining efficient power transfer over time.

Dielectric and Insulation

The cable utilizes Teflon FEP as its dielectric material, offering a very low dielectric constant across a broad frequency range. This helps in maintaining power integrity by minimizing power loss and enhancing safety due to its high resistance to electrical interference and temperature stability.

Mechanical Strength and Flexibility

Cotton is used as a filler to provide internal strength and reduce microphony, which can degrade audio quality. This is complemented by a Mylar wrap that secures the construction and adds an additional layer of insulation before the final PVC jacket is applied.

Shielding, Wrap, and External Protection

An earthed OFC shield is employed to ensure maximum rejection of RFI, safeguarding the integrity of the power carried within. A Mylar wrap is used to secure the construction and provide a barrier shield before the flexible PVC jacket is applied. The addition of Mylar and cotton forms a buffer with the PVC to maintain exceptional dielectric properties. The outer jacket is made of PVC, chosen for its flexibility and mechanical strength, which is important for protecting the internal components and accommodating the physical demands of typical usage.
