Adaptive Crossover Filter

The Epos 7N includes a switchable crossover filter, providing flexibility for different room placements. The top position is optimized for placement 30-50 cm away from a wall, while the bottom position enhances performance when placed close to a wall or inside a bookshelf. This feature allows users to fine-tune the speaker’s response to suit their environment without compromising tonal balance.

Advanced Cabinet Construction

Constructed with two layers of 8mm MDF separated by a damping layer, the Epos 7N effectively controls unwanted vibrations. A strategically placed wooden block on the top enhances stereo imaging, while an internal brace ensures structural rigidity. The side-vented port tube includes a selectively damped ventilation system to refine mid-band output, delivering a clean and dynamic sound.

High-Performance Woofer

The 130mm woofer is designed using a mica-filled polypropylene cone, offering excellent stiffness and low distortion. A low-hysteresis rubber surround and a Nomex spider maintain linear movement, while a 30mm voice coil with an impedance control ring ensures minimal intermodulation distortion. The double-magnet system enhances motor force while reducing stray fields.

Premium Tweeter Design

The Epos 7N incorporates the same tweeter as the ES-14N, featuring a 28mm ceramic-coated aluminum dome. The tweeter’s ferrite magnet and optimized airflow design ensure precise high-frequency reproduction without ferrofluid damping, maintaining stable temperatures and low compression.

Optimized Impedance and Response Curve

With a carefully tailored response curve, the Epos 7N adapts well to different placements. The low-end roll-off is designed to accommodate room gain, preventing excessive bass buildup. Sensitivity measures 86dB (switch up) and 89dB (switch down), and with a stable 4 Ohm impedance, the speaker is compatible with a wide range of amplifiers.
