The Goldring 1012 cartridge is handbuilt and uses the replaceable D-12GX stylus with a Gyger II nude diamond. Gyger II is a fine-line elliptical type with a 6 µm small radius. Goldring 1012 has the detailed and dynamic house-sound from Goldring combined with smooth, extended highs and low distortion. Like all Goldring cartridges the 1012GX has excellent tracking ability.
Goldring 1000 series cartridges use a strong one piece body which holds the fixed parts securely in place. The body can be tightly bolted to the head shell for maximum efficiency and optimum sound quality, because it is made from a special type of ultra-rigid, glass reinforced polyester called Pocan.
