X-Tube™ Technology

The QED Reference XT25 employs X-Tube™ technology, which arranges the conductive material around a hollow insulating rod. This design mitigates the skin effect, a phenomenon where higher frequencies travel primarily on the conductor's surface, thus maintaining uniform current density. At low frequencies, both X-Tube™ and conventional cables perform similarly. However, at high frequencies, X-Tube™ retains a consistent signal transfer, unlike traditional cables that suffer from reduced cross-sectional area utilization.

Low Self-Inductance

X-Tube™ with polycore technology exhibits significantly lower self-inductance compared to conventional cables. This reduction in self-inductance ensures that the cable's performance remains unaffected by the eddy currents generated by alternating magnetic fields. As a result, the XT25 offers superior high-frequency detail and lower distortion.

Polycore Technology
